I am a technical and creative individual, who thrives in both collaborative and individualized settings. I have a passion for obtaining new knowledge. I am currently a senior technical writer at Pluralsight where I create and review technical content for students all over the world. Outside of my day job, I contribute to open-source projects and enjoy being part of a collaborative community.
As a senior technical writer at Pluralsight, I create and edit companion resources for technical courses. Course topics include cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), Linux, programming, DevOps, and security. I also design and develop internal training sessions for my team to provide professional development.
One of my greatest accomplishments in this role was co-authoring a course, Introduction to Azure Data Studio: An Explorer's Guide. I designed a majority of the course graphics, course content, and did my own recording and video editing.
I was also featured on an episode of the "Perspectives in Leadership" podcast. I discussed the importance of tech fluency and how tech careers are not just about being a developer.

When I started on the project, I worked on overhauling the old user manual and made updates for the newest release. View a recent copy of the user manual.
I was selected as one of the writers for the first Google Season of Docs. Status updates are available on my personal blog.
Before I started my technical writing career, I worked in various roles in higher education. Most of my work centered around end-user training and business process documentation — which led me to the world of technical writing!
For this project, I provided remote training and database solutions for TCNJ's Office of Graduate and Advancing Education. I had the opportunity to redesign a database that I created while working in a previous role. This student database allows a user to input student information as well as view all applicants. The database was used to track applicants in a special program and for storing admission information. I used Microsoft Access to develop the database. This allowed the office to easily pull reports and keep track of enrollment data.
